in a word - no.
You shouldn't expect any problems.
You will have 2 different compilers installed in different
directories and called different names, e.g. on my system:

HAMOR> gcc44 --version
gcc44 (GCC) 4.4.3 20091222 (prerelease)
Copyright (C) 2009 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
