Your mail represents most replies in the most concise way so I will only reply to your's - I don't want to flood the list with replies. Ok, my first mail was a little bit provoking. I don't want stagnation. I don't want to blame Linux in a non-objective way. But as far as I know Berkeley's CSRG always was careful and not including all the numberless possible options and utility improvements one can imagine. Who should read the resulting infinite and confusing man pages? I hope the FreeBSD team will keep that tradition and I'm optimistic.
