Weird... A search of the mailing list archives (and by consequence my past responses :-) ) turns up some interesting info. The RTM_LOSING message comes from the TCP stack when the retransmit timer kicks in. It sends out a message that thinks that the net may be partitioned. But if no gateway is specified, then the message is moot. Routed can understand these and will make a notation if a faulty RTM_LOSING comes through. They can be safely ignored. But if it is really bugging you and you have a static routing system (send everything to this router), then define the default gateway and disable routed in /etc/rc.conf.
