If you turn up your logging a bit, you might get some hints. Chat logging would be a good start :-) > Also, when I was inside ppp, I tried to dial manually using term, i.e., > > ppp on mybsd > term > > then I got the usual message > > ->Working in the interactive mode > -> .. > -> .. You got this message after typing `term' ? I don't think so. > After that, everything is hung and I need to reboot the system. > When I tried using term as root or a user, the shell can't find the > command for me !! Did you try typing ~. to get out of the `term' ? Are you sure that your serial ports have been detected (look for `sio' lines in the output of `dmesg'). Are you sure that you've told ppp to look at the correct device ? Take a look at http://www.FreeBSD.org/FAQ/userppp.html. If you still have problems, we'll need some specific information (mentioned in the FAQ). > Thank you very much, > > Suttipan Limanond. -- Brian <brian@Awfulhak.org>, <brian@FreeBSD.org>, <brian@OpenBSD.org> <http://www.Awfulhak.org> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
