I suggest you get an ATI card. I'm running an Xpert@Work which uses
the 3D Rage Pro chipset that runs at 230MHz.

FWIW ATI are the only cards that I've ever used that have run "out
of the box"  on a non-M$ OS (Linux, FreeBSD, OS/2) at the maximum
settings for my monitor (1024x768x16.7M colours)
