Really, I didn't have much of a problem in coding up an XFree86
Xv module to our bt848 interface and I based it upon the linux
Xv module.

I really don't mind people porting the video capture apps to FreeBSD.

Now if people are not willing to :
1) Write the apps
2) Even port simple linux video apps

Then why should we even try to come up with a v4linux api?

You know it takes effort to run the linux emulator to keep
up with the crappy linux libraries even large linux projects
are having problems with their crappy libc vs glibc xxx versions.
Additionally, it takes effort to port the apps to FreeBSD even if
we have a v4linux api .

After this , if the group really feels compel to start a V4Linux
project -- cool !
