I would expect that you let mergemaster replace /etc/shells. It seems to
only like /bin/sh and /bin/csh. There isn't any difference between csh
and tcsh and you might as well use csh.

I still telnet as a user and su to root. It would probably keep someone
from watching my login. There isn't anyone else on my network to do that
and so it probably doesn't matter.
