I mean from the Internet _TO_ the Internet.  However I would reduce the risk
of spam by setting filters on my firewall to only allow relay from certain
IP ranges (i.e. from my work).

Thanks for the info on Qpopper.  I'll look into that when I get to phase 2.

At this point, I only want to "get into it" as much as is necessary to
accomplish what I want.  Later, I would work on expanding my understanding
of Sendmail.  The main reason why I want to know Sendmail is that I try to
do as much as I can with the base tools.  This way my skills are very
portable.
