Thanks Alex, that was helpful. Doing so revealed that spamd-setup was
looking for spamd.conf in /usr/local/etc/spamd, not /usr/local/etc/ as
indicated in the documentation I was following. (I now see the man
page for spamd.conf indicates this.)
