Did you had a plain (non-overinstalled) i4b on 4.1 and a plain (non-
overinstalled) i4b on 4.1.1 ?

In case you had an overinstalled i4b on 4.1 and want an overinstalled
i4b on 4.1.1, the procedure is

	cd /usr/local/src/i4b/FreeBSD
	sh overuninstall.sh
	cd /usr
	cvs checkout .....
	cd /usr/src
	make buildworld
	shutdown now
	cd /usr/src
	make installworld
	cd /usr/local/src/i4b/FreeBSD
	sh overinstall.sh
	build kernel
	reboot

In case you forgot the overuninstall (which is a common mistake of mine :-) )
before the cvs, you have to clean up your sourcetree and cvs again. Usually
an overuninstall gets everything back in a good shape, usually ....

The i4b versions on 4.1 and 4.1.1 are the same (so there should be no
problems updating 4.1 to 4.1.1).

I doubt it.
