Hey all,

Sorry about the delay.

The requirements for auto-assignment are somewhat simple

- there will be a text field "custom field" for ports - this needs to
be validated by the script.
- the script should add the maintainer to CC if they are not the submitter
- the script should set the maintainer_approval flag on patches to
either "?" or "+" (depending of if the maintainer is the submitter or
not).

This is likely not difficult with some knowledge of perl and bugzilla.
As much as possible I'd like for the script to be standalone - not a
modification to bugzilla.

This is somewhat high level and I hope its useful if you're interested
in helping.
