If these files are placed in ./work/stage/usr/local/lib, you have an error
in your environment. With a default environment these files are correctly
located in share, not lib. This indicates some environmental variable is
set improperly.

That said, I am not sure what variable would have this effect. ports(8) has
a list of environmental variables used by the ports system, but I don't see
any that would place files in lib instead of share.

Do other ports install correctly?
