Ade Lovett:
 |First, with fxtv-0.47, whenever I hit the ENTER key to change the screen
 |size from small to large, the X cursor gets 'stuck' inside the (now large)
 |window, and refuses to move. The X server doesn't appear to lock up, but
 |the only way I can retrieve the situation is to log in via another machine
 |and kill the fxtv process. This behavior didn't occur with fxtv-0.46
 |which I'm now using. The machine is a 128Mb K6/200, running FreeBSD
 |3.0-current and the XF86_SVGA server (4Mb Matrox Millenium running at
 |1600x1200x16bit)

This is a feature :-) Fxtv 0.47 grabs the mouse when in Zoom mode
(e.g. vidmode = 640x480) so that the desktop can't accidentally shift on
the user while they're zoomed full-screen watching TV. The point of
full-screen is to give the TV the whole screen and behave as if that's all
there is, so this makes sense.

I found it annoying in my use that I could inadvertantly "move-off" the TV
(by bumping the mouse) and have to unzoom and rezoom, or play little
bumping games with the virtual desktop viewport to get the TV centered
again. Since there's no way to change desktop size in X without taking the
server down, this is a good substitute.

 |Second, this new card also has an FM tuner on board.. is there any kind
 |of driver support for using this with, say, xtuner?

Here are a few URLs I saved; may still be valid, I don't know for sure
though. You might search the multimedia archive at
(www.freebsd.org/search.html) for pieces of these URLs (e.g. "dknet"), and
you should pull up most of the messages you're interested in:
