This is covered in the FreeBSD Handbook:

All you need to do is replace the symbolic links which currently point
to libdescrypt, with links that point instead to libscrypt.

To prevent ``make world'' from toasting these symbolic links in future,
add this to your /etc/make.conf:

        NODESCRYPTLINKS=true
