Right after I sent this message, a workable answer popped into my mind. I just created an alias in my .cshrc file (alias slirp slirp -P). This allowed me to connect to the remote host, but I had routing problems. One minor change to my /etc/ppp/ppp.linkup file and the bits started flowing. Sorry for the long post. It's very frustrating to ask for help and then figure it out right after you hit the appropriate commands to send your message. - burton -
