In General, I am not sure. I am using libc_r with MySQL with no problems.
I do believe MIT threads are slower though... I am not sure about
compatibility of libc_r, like I said I am using it with a fairly simple
MySQL database. (used with Isp Admin, a nifty Java application for ISPs -
www.hurl.net)
