ouch ... i suppose this makes my previous questions to mike, sort of redundant.

when you say 'wouln'd compile' what do you mean, er, um, i mean, hwo and where 
did it fail .. if you can remember, please.

i've been offered teh oportunity to take the 'fight' upt to w3.org on behalf 
of several disabled users and a support organisation .. we all use freebsd you 
see, grin.
