Dear Tom Messmer,

you have just performed a major upgrade; a number of ports simply
needs rebuilding. This -- as well as the reason for this -- was
documented in several places: in particular, it was (then) posted to
the -current forum.

When I remade XFree86 (3.3.6), it did not complain at all albeit I had
enabled the dreaded PAM support. You'll find information about these
problems (wait for it) in the mailing list archives (e.g. -questions,
-current).
