         I second that motion.  It's not the easiest installer in the 
world, nor the easiest to understand, and definitely not the most 
forgiving, but if it was, we'd be using microsoft linux.  (shutter)  Eww, 
that's a scary thought.  :)  The setup software in some ways assumes that 
you already know kinda what you're doing.  When I was a greenhorn to Fbsd 
that was the one program I dreaded getting into.  Now there are times I'd 
rather use it than figure out how to do it by hand at the command prompt.

         Considering you're using such a powerful OS that's not for 
computer newbies, I guess the installer kinda follows that 
pattern.  Powerful, yet not oversimplified.
