 |FreeBSD 1.0 JKD binaries you say? Where did you get them? I scoured the
 |ports & packages section and anywhere else on the web that I could find
 |about the JDK ported, and couldn't find anything definate on FreeBSD.. I
 |would love to know the details.. Would hate to resort to using my wife's
 |Win95 box as I do all my development on my FreeBSD...

Jeffrey Hsu posted a message about it a while back. Here's the URL:

   ftp://freefall.FreeBSD.org:/pub/FreeBSD/LOCAL_PORTS/jdk10.tar.gz

The package is still there -- just checked. Here's a snippet from his post
describing installation:

    1. Grab ftp.javasoft.com:JDK-1_0-solaris2-sparc.tar.Z.
    2. Grab freefall.FreeBSD.org:/pub/FreeBSD/LOCAL_PORTS/jdk10.tar.gz.
    3. Untar the solaris binary distribution.
    4. Move aside bin/ and untar the FreeBSD distribution.
    5. Install the pdksh port.

As I mentioned, you'll want to grab JDK-1_0_2-solaris2-sparc.tar.Z instead
from javasoft
