The "term" program looks like something that might help  you.  It's  a
multi-session ASCII terminal manager (lets you run  multiple  sessions
full-screen on a single terminal), but you can  make  each  session
run in a built-in vt100 (at least, maybe vt220, this you would have to
check) emulator.

I think it's in the ports.
