Some of the Linux guys are really into the DEC Tulip stuff. They've even tested various cards. But I was told that there is very little difference between them. It's evidently a very easy chipset for manufacturers to use and get right. :-) If there is a Kingston NIC that definitely uses the right chipset, it would be a very good choice.
