I wouldn't but it would probably be something that the BSD community 
would crowdfund.

It may even be a valid business: would BSD guys pay $2-5 through the 
Apple Store for a UFS driver? Of course if one wants to charge it would 
have to be pretty good and then the development model just becomes much 
more complex.

Just a thought ... don't send money :-P,
