6. The port does not allow binary distribution, i. e., it _has to_
   be built from source ("licensing issue").

If I remember correctly, the "lame" MP3 encoder is (or was)=20
an example of such a port - you _had to_ build it from source
as there was no package available for use with "pkg install".
