Greetings, I have a 4.3 machine running an ircd. A few weeks ago, I was able to log into the ircd and oper without any problems. Since that time, the only thing I have done that could have possibly caused this problem was to install the OpenSSL patch (though I'm honestly not even sure how that could affect this...) I tried logging back into the ircd yesterday, and kept getting an invalid username and password message. I tried running the mkpasswd program that comes with the ircd to rehash my password, and noticed that it is now hashing it in RC5 rather then DES. I know the system is still accepting DES passwords, because I had a test account on the machine, with a password encrypted using DES, and I can log into that test account without any problems still. However, I can not log into the ircd, wether I am using a password encrypted using DES or RC5. I am at a loss as to what might have caused this problem. Anyone have any ideas, or should I try contacting the list for the ircd itself? Nothing at all had been changed as far as the ircd goes, which leads me to believe it was something with FreeBSD itself rather then the ircd. Also, I am not subscribed to -questions, so please CC me with any responses.... thanks!
