I'm running XFree86 Version 3.3.6 on FBSD 4.3-RELEASE. My video card is a
NVidia Riva Ultra Vanta TNT2 rev 21, which was one of the supported cards
according to xf86Config. I went through the config procedure, and X does
come up OK and I can cycle through the different resolutions, but certain
applications do not display correctly, or they leave "crap" on the screen.
Other applications work fine.

For example, xeyes & ico work fine. Netscape 4.76 never fully displays the
contents or as you move the mouse other the buttons, the pop-up boxes never
get erases. The buttons (Home, Stop, etc) never show. When I left click on
the desktop, the TWM menu does not fully come up. I only see an outline of
it. When I release the mouse button, it leaves the outline on the screen.

Where can I start looking and tweaking things? Any ideas as to what might be
going on?

Thanks,
Kory
