Open up the top of the computer, look in and count them.

Make them go to /tmp/users one at a time and count them as they enter.

You shouldn't let users in your computer because they might trip on a
wire or something.

If you just want to know how many are logged in then "finger" might work.
or you might want to use "last", or "ac -p"

The answer really depends on what the word "in" means.
