They look great for general use, but I understand that they have some differences in gamma and rendering that make them delicate for graphics use. You have to have color profile support and the right profiles installed to make sure you are seeing things in a display-independent way. Also, no TFT monitor appears to support 1600x1200 right now, and I haven't seen much in the way of 20" TFT monitors, either. A Wacom digitizing tablet makes any mouse seem crude by comparison, and is a must for any kind of graphics work (but works well for other things, too). I will second the recommendation for a Microsoft Natural Keyboard. Unfortunately, finding a standard Elite version of the keyboard is extremely difficult these days, as Microsoft keeps introducing newer, more complicated, and more useless versions of the same keyboard.
