I think we have a trend here...
I agree with the suggestions from the other folks.

I'd take the suggestions one step further. Install fvwm95. I had it runni=
ng on a test system and it was close enough to window$ that I could work =
with it without RTFM first.

If security on your machine is not an issue, I'd accept the other suggestio=
n and set up a passwordless account, and the scripting, to bring up fvwm9=
5 without them having to do anything.

FWIW, When my wife first tried to learn to use a PC it was DOS and no GUI. =
I don't know who was more frustrated, her or me!! But, she picked up th=
e window$ "GUI" fairly quickly on her own.

Cheers...
BTW, I survived teaching my wife. Even if I do end up acting like a captiv=
e Help Desk. ;-)

Hai hai!

My mother and sister hardly knows how to navigate through Windows :-)

What is the best way of flash-teaching them how the most basic of basic thi=
ngs
are done FreeBSD? I'm not fit for hours explaining. And this is the only sy=
stem
I have available to her.

I havn't really found anything she might comprehend on freebsd.org, nor on =
any of
its links. If I'm missing something here, please enlighten me =3D)

Regards,
Johann
