That's probably a holdover from the days when it would take 90-120 seconds to process all the defaults stuff in forth mode on low-end arm boards. You can enable it yourself using "cp loader.rc.sample loader.rc" in the /boot directory. Once you've done that it'll start reading your loader.conf file. -- Ian
