A couple of weeks ago somebody mentioned "cmu-snmp" which I found (I think)
in /incoming on freefall.

With very little whacking I was able to get it built and put together a
couple of csh scripts that periodically scan a few remote servers (NT, if you
must know) and alert me in the even of an error on 'em.

T'was truly a trivial exercise - about two hours total, and I don't have a
clue as to what I'm doing. ;-)

As far as an snmpd on FreeBSD, I'm planning on looking at same in the near
future, so keep me posted if you discover any tips for doing so.
