Hi, We have recently purchased a copy of FreeBSD 2.1.5 on CD-ROM from Walnut Creek Publishing. I have a Hitachi IDE CD-ROM drive and it seems that my drive isn't supported with 2.1.5? I know I can copy the \dists\bin directory off the CD-ROM and run an install off of my 1st hard drive (I'm installing FreeBSD on my second hard drive), but I'm concerned about support for my CD-ROM drive. I have heard that 2.1.6 will support most IDE CD-ROM drives, but kind of blanch at the thought of downloading that much over my 28.8 modem --I'm sure you understand :}. Is there any way that I can install 2.1.5 and "upgrade" to 2.1.6 without needing tons and tons of HD space? Or should I go ahead, install 2.1.5 and then download 2.1.6 and install over it? Thank you in advance for your help. Glenn Sieb / Rafael Portales
