What I've done is setup my filter to only accept email from known
mailing lists, etc..., and also accept mail directly addressed to me.
Everything else goes into 'junk' which is 99.99% of the junk mail that I
receive, with .01% of it not being junk. Every once in a while I go
look in my junk folder for 'valid' email, but otherwise it tends to do
it's job well, and still not get rid of 'previously unknown by desired'
email.
