I have an Adaptec 2940 Controller and a Seagate 1 GIG SCSI Drive. I
upgraded my unix box from a P166 VX motherboard to a AMD K6-200 HX
motherboard system. And since then I am getting the occasional SCSI error
now during normal operation...

sd0(ahc0:0:0): RECOVERED ERROR info:0x300a8 asc:3,0 Peripheral device write
fault field replaceable unit: 10 sks:80,1, retries:4

can anyone tell me why I'm getting this? What it is..and what I can do to
fix it? Any help or insight or URL's will be appreciated. Thanks.

Sam
