It would be nice to have an area separate from the loader script to specify loader variables (ala /etc/rc and /etc/rc.conf). That would make the file eitehr /boot/loader.conf or /boot/loader.rc.conf depending on how you view existing precident. My knowledge of forth is somewhat limited...
