Subject: wd support in RELENG_3

I installed my laptop with RELENG_3, and after struggling for several days
with pccardd configurations, I discovered that there does not seem to be any
PCMCIA support in the 3.0 wd driver. This seems rather strange to me, because
I've been happily using the PAO wd drivers for over half a year now, which
seems like more than enough time for testing and porting. I couldn't find
a 3.0 version of PAO, either. Is there support somewhere that I haven't found
yet?

I changed to 3.0 because of the warnings that 2.2 was soon going to be
officially dead. If 3.0 doesn't support pc-card harddisks, this seems like
a major step backwards in supported FreeBSD functionality. Since I use
a pc-card harddisk for backups, this is a somewhat urgent matter for me.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
