Just FYI, my IBM LVD drives reports themselves as:

	da0: <IBM DDRS-34560D DC1B> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device
	da1: <IBM DDRS-39130D DC1B> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device

The plain F/W (non-LVD) version reports as:

	da2: <IBM DDRS-39130W S97B> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device

Basically, the "W" suffix is used for the non-LVD drive, and the "D"
suffix is used on LVD drives.
