not long installed freebsd 3.1 for the first time, and really wanted to get it connected to the internet ASAP. i have moved over from linux, where i was using redhat, on there they had a command "modemtool" or something like that which let you tell the system which port the modem was connected too. i was woundering if there is something like that in freebsd at all? just at the moment i tried to use kde's KPPP to connect to the inet, only kde just hangs, and i have to kill the process to get out of it. i have not yet checked up on it, but is it easy to setup a internet connection, via command line, using chap authentication when logging in to my ISP?
