I think you're right.  Just as an experiment, I tried copying files
from linux /lib into freebsd /compat/linux/lib and reran the linux
ldconfig.  libc.so.6 and ld-linux.so.2 were enough to make "Hello,
world" run.

So, is that the basic problem, that Red Hat 6.0 has new libraries
and linux_lib hasn't caught up yet?
