  vinum stripe /dev/da1h /dev/da2h

Is that more difficult to understand than this?

  ccd0 512 2 /dev/da1h /dev/da2h

Anyway, if you still can't get it to work, send me a message and I'll
see what's going wrong. Vinum has a lot of tools for analysing
performance and problems.
