Sun, or SGI, or DEC ;-) But only for booting (at least on Sun & DEC).

H'mm I used DEC RRD4x drives that are set to 512 on FreeBSD without 
problems.  

Older Pioneers need Vendor Unique for playing audio. Guessing...
