That's ok, I should have figured this out a while ago, but I think
Mikel neglected to compile in "option VESA" into his kernel which
is probably why he's getting the 'ioctl: Inappropriate ioctl for device'
message.

Mikel, can you comment?  Do you have VESA compiled in your kernel?
