Dear Warner Losh,

I met an analogous error (due to a reboot) when upgrading to the=20
(then) 4-0 CURRENT. =20

I may be wrong, but I am afraid fsck, at this stage, is NOT able to=20
correct the problems.

Personally, I booted from *another* FreeBSD slice and ran fsck from=20
there over the "would-be current" partitions :-) After which=20
operation, I was able to complete the (then) dreaded make world. Since=20
then , it has (apparently) worked like charm for me, at least as far=20
as my tasks are concerned :-)=20

HTH,
Salvo =20
