whenever i insert any pc card into my laptop, the whole system hangs with no messages in /var/log/messages explaining what error occured.
i have pccard support enabled in my kernel etc...on boot up i see the pccard slot detection output, with no errors.
the two cards i have tried so far are a 3com 10/100 and a wavelan turbo gold.
pccard is enabled in /etc/rc.conf by the way.
if i boot the machine with the card in the slot (rather than adding it later) the boot up process hangs at ppi0: <Parallel I/O> on ppbus0
any ideas?
