Since you don't have any real evidence I think this warning is
misguided and should be removed since there's no demonstrable risk
associated with using it, but significant performance benefit.
Compare that to the -O2 case, where it is easy to demonstrate code
which fails under it.

You are scaring people for no demonstrable reason.
