--PmA2V3Z32TCmWXqI Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Cameron, hi Russel, happy easter weekend. I got a new machine (1 GHz PIII, "ALDI PC") with ASUS board. The soundchip is <AudioPCI ES1371> Theoretically it should be supported, but I get this "ac97 codec invalid or not present (id =3D=3D 0)" message on startup. Who has currently the maintainer bit set for this driver ? I noticed your copyright in es137x.c, therefore I wrote to you directly, hope its o.k.. es137x.c: * Copyright (c) 1999 Russell Cattelan <cattelan@thebarn.com> es137x.c: * Copyright (c) 1999 Cameron Grant <gandalf@vilnya.demon.co.uk> es137x.c: * Thomas Sailer (sailer@ife.ee.ethz.ch) es137x.h: * Copyright (c) 1998 Joachim Kuebart <joki@kuebart.stuttgart.nets= urf.de> Here my normal dmesg output ?
