There's 58 screenshot files (in the handbook's install guide) and about
25 eps files in the doc/ tree.  I'd rather permit these to remain "as
is" rather than add a bunch of infrastructure to deal with uudecoding, 
plus all the conversions in the repository.

(OK, it's not my decision, but you get the idea.....)
