ok, let me ask this way. Should i be able to kldload the module after i'm fully booted up? Because i can't with 4.4-R. I also found a tar ball from 2000 (before it was added to the fbsd tree) that says if loading via module and you have a mastro 2e it has to be loaded via loader.conf. Can anyone else test this? If it turn out that it does have to be loaded via loader.conf shouldn't that be documented somewhere, and if so where? --- Edwin Culp <eculp@EnContacto.Net> wrote: > Quoting bob bobing <this_is_my_act@yahoo.com>: > > | Just wondering, the hardware.txt says that maestro > 3 > | needs to be loaded via loader.conf at boot time. > It > | seems that if i want to use the maestro2e i also > have > | to load it via loader.conf (can't just do it once > i'm > | logged it) > You can load it from the command line with kldload > > # kldload snd_maestro > or > # kldload snd_maestro3 > > or in loader.conf > > snd_maestro3_load="YES > > I think that loader.conf is easier but I'm lazy:-) > > ed > | This isn't really a problem for me, just > | wondering if it should be in the hardware.txt > also.
