Bjarne Wichmann Petersen:
 |So if some of you have some experience with this card, please share! ;)
 |
 |Those Q's that roams in my head are these:
 |Can FreeBSD use the TV-tuner (eg. through fxtv)?
 |Does the TV-tuner support stereosound (eg. Nicam)?
 |Does the video-capture support stereo?
 |As to the DVD-capabilities. Does the G450 have some HW mpeg2-decoer and
 |css-descrambler and is there some software on FreeBSD that can take
 |advantage of this?

I have a Millenium G450, not a Marvel so I can't speak to the TV tuner.
However, I can say that on mine Xv works very well (hardware-assisted
decoding and scaling for video playback).

As to the TV part, the 9/21 news bit here:

    http://marvel.sourceforge.net/

might be useful. Don't think it's a Bt-chip so it's not supported by the
bktr driver ("Maven chipset" runs in my mind, but do some more research).
fxtv is built on the bktr driver.

For DVD playback, try vlc. mplayer (just tried this a few minutes ago) is
supposed to handle DVDs too (and probably much faster I'd bet), but the
FreeBSD port doesn't build in libcss support...
