Interessting read, but sounds to be some way off before it's usefull (for a 
mere mortal like me! ;))

Hmm, perhaps I should just clear a PCI-slot for a TV-tuner.

I'm using vlc, but (apart from eating a lot of CPU ;)) it still got some 
decoding-issues, like skipping frames and no support of interlaced movies. 
Using a HW-decoder would be nice.
